In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

اجتاز الأستاذ الدكتور بهاء حمدي العميدي، التدريسي في فرع الأحياء المجهرية بكلية طب الأسنان في جامعة بابل، سلسلة من الدورات التدريبية التخصصية التي نظمتها وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي عبر منصة (Eduba) الإلكترونية. وتأتي مشاركة الدكتور العميدي واجتيازه لـ (7) دورات تخصصية في إطار السعي المستمر لتطوير الكفاءة التدريسية، ورفع المهارات الأكاديمية لمواكبة التطورات والتوجهات العالمية الحديثة في قطاع التعليم العالي. محاور الدورات التدريبية المنجزة: اولا. تنوعت الدورات السبع التي شارك فيها لتشمل أبرز المعايير الحديثة في النشر والتعليم الإلكتروني، وهي كالتالي: ثانيا. تعزيز جودة النشر العلمي الرصين. ثالثا. كيفية تفادي الأخطاء الفنية والمنهجية التي تؤدي إلى رفض نشر البحوث في المجلات العالمية الرصينة. رابعا. آليات تقييم البحوث وفق المعايير العالمية ومعايير التحكيم العلمية الرصينة، مما يسهم في رفع مستوى النتاجات العلمية وزيادة فرص النشر الدولي. خامسا. كيفية اختيار المجلة الرصينة والمناسبة لنشر البحوث العلمية. ملاحظات مهمة حول كيفية كتابة "بحث المراجعة" (Review Paper) وأهميته للباحث الأكاديمي. سادسا.كيفية اختيار المجلات الرصينة ضمن مستوعب سكوبس (Scopus) العالمي، والتأكد من الاختيار وفق معايير الجودة في النشر العلمي. سابعا. كيفية الاستفادة من منصة التعليم الذكي لأساتذة الجامعات وفق خطوات منتظمة لتحقيق أهداف المنصة العلمية للطلبة تماشياً مع المعايير العالمية في التعليم الإلكتروني. يُذكر أن اجتياز هذه الدورات التدريبية الوزارية يسهم بشكل فاعل في تعزيز الكفاءة العلمية وتطوير المهارات الشخصية للتدريسيين، فضلاً عن دورها المباشر في رفع التقييم العلمي للكلية من خلال زيادة جودة تقييم الأداء المؤسسي لمنتسبيها. احمد ابراهيم
