In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

The University of Babylon is one of the largest universities in Iraq. It is situated on the banks of the Euphrates River in the province of Babil in central Iraq. The institution is made up of 21 colleges spread across three main locations in Hilla. The central university campus is in the medical colleges complex in the center of Hilla -Al-Iskan.

عقد مجلس كلية طب الأسنان في جامعة بابل جلسته الاعتيادية المفتوحة، برئاسة السيدة عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي، وبحضور معاون العميد للشؤون العلمية المدرس الدكتور حسن محسن الرماحي، ومعاون العميد للشؤون الإدارية الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور وائل رشيد عبيد الفتلاوي، بالإضافة إلى السادة رؤساء الفروع العلمية كافة (ومن ينوب عنهم)، وأمين المجلس المدرس المساعد جعفر صادق، ومسؤولة شعبة الحسابات في الكلية السيدة أنوار عبد سعيد ومسؤول شعبة التدقيق الانسة هديل عبد الأمير. في مستهل الجلسة، رحبت السيدة عميد الكلية بالسادة الحضور، معربةً عن تقديرها لجهودهم المتميزة ومتمنيةً لهم دوام التوفيق والنجاح في أداء مهامهم الأكاديمية والإدارية. كما وشهد الاجتماع مناقشة عدد من الملفات والمحاور الإستراتيجية المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، وجاء في مقدمتها مناقشة كتاب وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الوارد بشأن آليات وإجراءات تعيين الطلبة الأوائل من خريجي الكلية لدفعة عام 2024. وتم استعراض ومتابعة توجيهات رئاسة جامعة بابل الخاصة بالامتحانات التقويمية الوزارية للعام الدراسي 2025-2026، لضمان تحقيق أعلى مستويات الرصانة العلمية. كذلك بحث التحضيرات الخاصة بطلبة الدراسات العليا، والتأكيد على توفير البيئة الأكاديمية الملائمة لهم والتوجيه بتهيئة وتوفير كافة المستلزمات الضرورية والقاعات الامتحانية لضمان سير العملية الامتحانية بسلاسة ونجاح. احمد ابراهيم
