In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

The University of Babylon is one of the largest universities in Iraq. It is situated on the banks of the Euphrates River in the province of Babil in central Iraq. ضمن سعيها المستمر لتطوير البنى التحتية وتقديم أفضل الخدمات، باشرت كوادر شعبة شؤون الديوان في كلية طب الأسنان بجامعة بابل، أعمال إعادة تأهيل وصيانة المجمعات الصحية التابعة لبناية العيادات التعليمية الطبية. جاءت هذه الأعمال بتوجيه مباشر من السيدة عميد الكلية، الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي، وبمتابعة ميدانية حثيثة من السيد المعاون الإداري، الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور وائل رشيد عبيد الفتلاوي. حيث تضطلع شعبة شؤون الديوان بتنفيذ كافة مراحل التأهيل لضمان إنجاز العمل وفق المعايير المطلوبة. تهدف هذه الحملة إلى تحسين المرافق الخدمية في العيادات التعليمية بما يتلاءم مع حجم الإقبال المتزايد من المراجعين والطلبة، وتوفير بيئة صحية نموذجية تليق بالمستوى الأكاديمي والخدمي للجامعة. تعكس هذه الخطوة حرص عمادة الكلية على إدامة المجمعات الحيوية وتحديثها بشكل دوري لضمان استمرارية العمل وتقديم الخدمات الطبية للمواطنين بأفضل صورة ممكنة. احمد ابراهيم
