In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

برعاية الأستاذ الدكتور أمين عجيل ياسر رئيس جامعة بابل المحترم وبإشراف الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي عميد كلية طب الأسنان المحترمة نظمت وحدة شؤون المرأة في كلية طب الأسنان / جامعة بابل بالتعاون مع شعبة الاعلام ووحدة التعليم المستمر ورشة تعريفية بعنوان (بناء وتفعيل نظام إدارة السلامة والصحة المهنية. اساسيات البيئة الامنة: فهم المخاطر الى الوقاية من الحوادث) ليوم الاحد 3/5/2026 تنفيذا للخطة التنفيذية للاستراتيجية الوطنية للمرأة العراقية لعام (2026) المحور الخامس (تعزيز دور المرأة في إدارة مخاطر التغيير المناخي وحماية البيئة). الفقرة الرابعة حاضرت فيها م.م. شيماء محمد كاظم وتضمنت الورشة التعريف بنظام ادارة السلامة والصحة المهنية تشمل وضع سياسات شاملة للمخاطر وانواعها الفيزيائية والكيميائية والبيولوجية والميكانيكية والمخاطر النفسية كذلك تحديد المخاطر وتقييمها وتنفيذ إجراءات وقائية للحد من الحوادث والأمراض المهنية من خلال تحديد وتقييم المخاطر والتخطيط والوقاية والتطبيق والقياس والمراقبة حيث يساعد تطبيق هذا النظام وفقاً للمعايير الدولية في تقليل إصابات العمل وتحسين الروح المعنوية للعاملين. تمت التوصية بضرورة اتباع الارشادات الوقائية والتعريف بالمخاطر من خلال وضع الدليل الارشادي الخاص بالسلامة والصحة المهنية في مكان العمل لحماية العاملين. احمد ابراهيم
