In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

برعاية السيد رئيس جامعة بابل الاستاذ الدكتور امين عجيل الياسري المحترم وإشراف السيدة عميد كلية طب الأسنان الاستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي المحترمة اقامت شعبة شؤون الطلبة التسجيل بالتعاون مع وحدة التعليم المستمر وشعبة الإعلام وشعبة النشاطات الطلابية ووحدة شؤون المرأة وشعبة الشؤون العلمية في الكلية دورة علمية تدريبية بعنوان "التحول الرقمي وأثره في تطوير عمل شعبة تسجيل الطلبة في الجامعات العراقية". وقد حاضر فيها المتدرب احمد عبد الحمزة جاسم والمتدربة غدير هلال مهدي وتهدف الدورة إلى التعريف بمفهوم التحول الرقمي ودوره في تحسين الأداء الإداري داخل المؤسسات التعليمية. كما وتناولت الدورة واقع عمل شعبة تسجيل الطلبة في النظام التقليدي، والتحديات التي تواجهها في ظل الاعتماد على الإجراءات الورقية، مع تسليط الضوء على أهمية التحول نحو الأنظمة الإلكترونية في إدارة بيانات الطلبة. كما استعرضت الدورة تطبيقات التحول الرقمي مثل قواعد البيانات، وأنظمة إدارة الطلبة، والأرشفة الإلكترونية، ودورها في تسريع إنجاز المعاملات وتقليل الأخطاء وتحسين جودة الخدمات المقدمة للطلبة. واختتمت الدورة بالتأكيد على أهمية تبني التحول الرقمي كخطوة أساسية نحو تطوير العمل الإداري والارتقاء بمستوى الخدمات في المؤسسات التعليمية. احمد ابراهيم
