In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

جسدت الأستاذ المساعد سرى داخل جاسم التدريسية في فرع أمراض اللثة وما حول الأسنان بكلية طب الأسنان في جامعة بابل حضوراً أكاديمياً دولياً لافتاً باختيارها كمقيمة علمية لعشرين بحثاً عالمياً مرشحاً للنشر في مجلات دولية رصينة تقع ضمن الربع الأول (Q1). وشمل نشاطها البحثي خلال عام 2025 إجراء تسع وعشرين مراجعة دقيقة لهذه الأبحاث التي توزعت على مجلات عالمية مرموقة مثل مجلة BMC Oral Health التابعة لدار النشر العالمية Springer Nature ومجلة International Journal of Dentistry التابعة لدار النشر Wiley. وتمتاز هذه الأبحاث والمجلات بأرشفتها ضمن قواعد البيانات العالمية الرصينة Scopus و Web of Science، مما يعكس الثقة العالية بالكفاءة العلمية للتدريسية في تحكيم المادة العلمية ومواكبة التطورات البحثية الحديثة. وقد توج هذا الجهد الأكاديمي المتميز بحصولها على شهادات تقديرية من دور النشر المذكورة تثميناً لمساهمتها الفاعلة في تعزيز الرصانة العلمية للأبحاث المنشورة دولياً، مما يضيف إنجازاً جديداً لسلسلة إنجازات جامعة بابل في المحافل العلمية العالمية. يعكس هذا الاختيار ثقة المؤسسات البحثية العالمية بالمستوى الأكاديمي لتدريسيي جامعة بابل، ويساهم بشكل مباشر في رفع تصنيف الجامعة في المحافل الدولية وتعزيز التبادل المعرفي بين العراق والعالم. احمد ابراهيم
