In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

برعاية الأستاذ الدكتور أمين عجيل ياسر رئيس جامعة بابل المحترم وبأشراف الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبدالحسين هندي عميد كلية طب الأسنان المحترمة نظمت وحدة شؤون المرأة في كلية طب الأسنان / جامعة بابل وبالتعاون مع وحدة التعليم المستمر وشعبة الإعلام في الكلية ورشة توعوية (صوتك أقوى من التطرف الحوار طريقنا إلى السلام) بإدارة أ.م.د. زينب هادي كامل عضوة ارتباط وحدة شؤون المرأة في الكلية وحاضرت فيها م.د. إسراء ناظم حبيب وذلك في يوم الأحد الموافق 5/10/2025 ضمن الخطة الوطنية الثالثة للمرأة والأمن والسلام / ركيزة الحماية والوقاية / الفقرة السابعة / مفاهيم العدالة وحقوق الإنسان وتعزيز قيم السلام والتسامح ومقاومة التطرف. وقد حضر الورشة السيدة تضامن عبدالحسين مسؤولة شؤون المرأة في المفوضية العليا الانتخابات والحقوقية حوراء السلامي مسؤولة شؤون المرأة في مديرية شهداء بابل وتناولت الورشة تناولت الندوة تعريف التطرف وهو التمسك برأي او معتقد وكذلك أسباب التطرف ومظاهره وانتشاره بين المجتمعات الجاهلة والفقيرة واستغلال الدين والقومية وتأثير وسائل الإعلام ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي مما يودي إلى تعطيل التنمية والتعليم وهجرة الكفاءات وتفكك الوحدة الوطنية. هدفت الورشة إلى تبني الحوار السليم والناضج وخاصة بين الشباب والذي تتبناه بالدرجة الأساس المرأة التي تعد اللبنة الأساسية في الأسرة لنشر الوعي والفكر المعتدل وتربية أجيال على التسامح والمشاركة المجتمعية الفاعلة وأيضا ركزت على غرس قيم المواطنة والتسامح في المؤسسات التعليمية وتصحيح المفاهيم الخاطئة وتمت التوصية بضرورة تنظيم أنشطة ثقافية وتوعويه تتبنى لغة السلام والحوار السلمي. احمد إبراهيم
