In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

The University of Babylon is one of the largest universities in Iraq. It is situated on the banks of the Euphrates River in the province of Babil in central Iraq. عقد مجلس كلية طب الأسنان في جامعة بابل جلسته الأولى للعام الدراسي 2025/2026 برئاسة عميدة الكلية، الأستاذة الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي. حضر الاجتماع معاونا العميد للشؤون العلمية والإدارية، ورؤساء الفروع العلمية، وممثل نقابة الأكاديميين، ومسؤول شعبة العيادات الطبية، وأمينة المجلس. أبرز محاور الجلسة استهلت الدكتورة سهى هندي الجلسة بالترحيب بالأعضاء، مثنيةً على جهود الأقسام والشعب في تجهيز البنية التحتية، والمختبرات، والقاعات الدراسية لاستقبال الطلاب. وحثت العميدة الحضور على بذل المزيد من الجهود لتقديم عملية تعليمية متقدمة تهدف لتخريج كوادر قادرة على خدمة المجتمع. كما تم التأكيد خلال الاجتماع على عدة نقاط مهمة: جداول الدروس: ضرورة تجهيز وتحديث الجداول الدراسية الأسبوعية. نظام SIS: التأكيد على أهمية إكمال الطلاب لنظام معلومات الطالب (SIS). الأتمتة: البدء في تطبيق الأتمتة بشكل تدريجي لتشمل جميع الأنظمة الإدارية والأكاديمية في الكلية. بعد ذلك، انتقل المجلس إلى مناقشة بقية المواضيع المدرجة على جدول أعماله. أحمد ابراهيم
