In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

شاركت السيدة عميد كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل الاستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي المحترمة في الاجتماع الدوري للجنة عمداء كليات طب الاسنان في العراق الذي كان برئاسة الاستاذ الدكتور رغد عبد الرزاق الهاشمي المحترم رئيس اللجنة و عميد كلية طب الاسنان جامعة بغداد . حيث عقد الاجتماع الدوري للجنة عمداء كليات طب الاسنان في العراق للعام الدراسي 2024-2025 يوم الخميس الموافق 10/7/2025 في رحاب كلية طب الأسنان في جامعة بغداد. تناول الاجتماع ضمن جدول الاعمال مناقشة عدد من المحاور الاكاديمية المهمة التي تهدف الى الارتقاء الاكاديمي وسبل تعزيز جودة التعليم والبحث العلمي، كما تم التاكيد على ضرورة تنفيذ توجيهات جهاز الاشراف والتقويم العلمي بما يسهم في اعداد اطباء اسنان مؤهلين علميا ومهنيا، قادرين على مواكبة التطورات العلمية في مجال طب الاسنان وتقديم افضل الخدمات العلاجية والصحية للمجتمع. واكد الدكتور رغد عبد الرزاق الهاشمي خلال الاجتماع على اهمية التفاعل البناء بين الكليات وتبادل الخبرات لرفع مستوى التعليم الطبي والابحاث العلمية مشددا على ضرورة تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات التعليمية لضمان تحقيق أعلى معايير الجودة في التعليم الطبي في مجال طب الاسنان . واختتم الاجتماع بعدد من التوصيات التي تهدف الى تعزيز التنسيق المشترك بين الكليات وتوحيد الجهود في سبيل تطوير قطاع التعليم العالي في اختصاص طب الأسنان بما يواكب طموحات المرحلة المقبلة ويخدم احتياجات المجتمع المدني. احمد إبراهيم
