In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

بتوجيه من الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي، عميد كلية طب الأسنان بجامعة بابل، عقدت شعبة شؤون الديوان في الكلية اجتماعًا موسعًا برئاسة مسؤول الشعبة المهندس عائد عبد الحسين. ناقش الحضور المشاريع المستقبلية للكلية، مركزين على أهميتها وتحديد المعوقات المحتملة التي قد تواجه تنفيذها. يهدف هذا الاجتماع إلى وضع خطط عمل واضحة لضمان سير المشاريع بكفاءة وتحقيق الأهداف المرجوة منها. كذلك توضيح دور شعبة شؤون الديوان في الكلية. إذ تلعب شعبة شؤون الديوان دوراً محورياً وحيوياً في سير العمل اليومي لكلية طب الأسنان. إذ تتولى الشعبة مسؤوليات متعددة تضمن سلاسة العمل الإداري والفني وتقديم الدعم اللازم لجميع الأقسام والشعب الأخرى. كذلك تشارك الشعبة في متابعة تنفيذ القرارات الصادرة عن عمادة الكلية لضمان تطبيقها وتعتبر الشعبة حلقة وصل أساسية بين عمادة الكلية وأقسامها المختلفة، وكذلك مع الجهات الخارجية ذات الصلة. احمد إبراهيم
