In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

The University of Babylon is one of the largest universities in Iraq. It is situated on the banks of the Euphrates River in the province of Babil in central Iraq. تم عقد الجلسة الأولى للمجلس يوم الثلاثاء المصادف ??25/?/?? ، بحضور رئيس المجلس وعميد كلية طب الأسنان الاستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندى وبقية الاعضاء من المعاونيين العلمي استاذ مساعد دكتور حسن فليح الوطيفي والاداري مدرس دكتور حسن محسن الرماحي بالإضافة إلى رؤساء الفروع العلمية كافة في الكلية كما استضاف المجلس الاعضاء من خارج الكلية ، وهم كل من الدكتور مصطفى محسن على ممثلا عن نقابة اطباء الاسنان / فرع بابل والدكتور حيدر عبد الحسين عبود مدير المركز التخصصي الأول لطب الاسنان والدكتور محمد مؤيد علوش مدير المركز التخصصي الثاني لطب الاسنان وتمت مناقشة العديد من المواضيع التالية :- 1- الية التعاون العلمي مثل الاشتراك في نشر البحوث العلمية التطبيقية وعقد ملتقيات ومؤتمرات وورش عمل مشتركة مع دائرة صحة بابل / المراكز التخصصية لطب الاسنان بالإضافة إلى نقابة اطباء اسنان فرع بابل . 2_ التعاون مع دائرة صحة بابل في المساهمة والتدريب الصيفي للطلبة الخريجين من كلية طب الاسنان / جامعة بابل في المراكز التخصصي التابعة للدائرة وتحت اشراف اطباء اسنان اختصاص من كلا الطرفين 3_ تسهيل مهمة الطلبة في المرحلة الخامسة بإجراء بحوث التخرج في المراكز الصحية من أجل رفع الواقع العلمي للخريجين . 4_ مناقشة آلية تحديث المناهج الدراسية بشكل دوري من أجل رفع المستوى العلمي للخريجين المواكبة سوق العمل . 5 _ مناقشة آلية توفير فرص عمل للخريجين الجدد من اطباء الأسنان عن طريق وضع الية قانونية لفتح مكاتب علمية مجازة رسميا من وزارة الصحة لغرض استيراد مواد واجهزة طبية تخص مجالات طب الاسنان ومن وكالات عالمية رصينة مما يعزز ايجاد فرص عمل للخريجين من اطباء الاسنان . اهم التحديات التي تواجه عمل المجلس الاستشاري الصناعي في الكلية : 1- صعوبة عقد اجتماعات دورية بفترات زمنية متقاربة الانشغال السيدات والسادة الاعضاء من خارج الكلية بمهام ادارية وصعوبة الحضور في الوقت المناسب . 2_ الاعداد المتزايدة من الخريجين من اطباء الاسنان مما يجعل توفير فرص عمل في سوق العمل قليلة أو قد تكاد تكون معدومة في ظل عدم وجود تعيينات مركزية ... أهم التوصيات التي خرجت بها الجلسة - استمرار التعاون مع دائرة صحة بابل والقطاع الخاص فيما يخص عقد ورش عمل وندوات ومؤتمرات ابحاث لتطوير الواقع العالمي للخريجين عن طريق عقد لقاءات دورية . - العمل على توفير فرص عمل للخريجين سواء في القطاع العام أو الخاص ... - الحرص على تقديم الدعم للخريجين الجدد من خلال ايصال صوتهم الى الجهات العليا لغرض تذليل كافة المشاكل والصعوبات التي تواجه مهنة طب الاسنان . احمد إبراهيم
