In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

برعاية السيد رئيس جامعة بابل الأستاذ الدكتور أمين عجيل الياسري المحترم وإشراف السيدة عميد كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل الأستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي المحترمة أقامت وحدة التعليم المستمر بالتعاون مع شعبة الإعلام ندوة توعوية بعنوان (تأثير التدخين في زيادة الإصابة بالسرطان) حاضر فيها م.د. بان حسين كاظم علوش تناولت الندوة تعريف التدخين هو أحد الأسباب الرئيسية للإصابة بالسرطان والأمراض الأخرى من خلال نشر الوعي وتقديم الدعم للمدخنين، يمكننا تقليل خطر الإصابة بالسرطان وتحسين الصحة العامة. فتأثير التدخين على الصحة السرطان: التدخين هو أحد الأسباب الرئيسية للإصابة بالسرطان، وخاصة سرطان الرئة. الأمراض القلبية: التدخين يزيد من خطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية. الأمراض التنفسية: التدخين يسبب أمراضًا تنفسية مثل التهاب الشعب الهوائية المزمن. آليات تأثير التدخين على الإصابة بالسرطان 1. المواد الكيميائية الضارة: التدخين يحتوي على مواد كيميائية ضارة تسبب تلف الحمض النووي وتؤدي إلى الإصابة بالسرطان. 2. التهاب الخلايا: التدخين يسبب التهاب الخلايا، مما يزيد من خطر الإصابة بالسرطان. أنواع السرطان المرتبطة بالتدخين 1. سرطان الرئة: التدخين هو السبب الرئيسي لسرطان الرئة. 2. سرطان الفم: التدخين يزيد من خطر الإصابة بسرطان الفم. 3. سرطان الحنجرة: التدخين يزيد من خطر الإصابة بسرطان الحنجرة. استراتيجيات الوقاية 1. الإقلاع عن التدخين: الإقلاع عن التدخين هو أفضل طريقة للوقاية من الأمراض المرتبطة بالتدخين. 2. التوعية: نشر الوعي حول مخاطر التدخين وأهمية الإقلاع عنه. 3. الدعم: تقديم الدعم للمدخنين الذين يرغبون في الإقلاع عن التدخين. احمد إبراهيم
