In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

برعاية السيد رئيس جامعة بابل الاستاذ الدكتور امين عجيل الياسري المحترم واشراف السيدة عميد كلية طب الاسنان الاستاذ الدكتورة سهى عبد الحسين هندي المحترمة ولجنة من فرع جراحة الفم وماحول الأسنان متمثلة بالدكتور علي فلاح، والدكتور حسن عصام ،والدكتور أحمد ضياء، وضمن متطلبات التخرج لطلبة المرحلة الخامسة للحصول على شهادة البكالوريوس في طب وجراحة الفم والأسنان ناقش فرع جراحة الفم وماحول الأسنان في الكلية بحث تخرج لطلبة المرحلة الخامسة (ليث علي , حسين عبد عون,رقيه طارق, سرى عبدالرسول, آمنة حمزة, مريم امير ) عنوان البحث (تأثير الكورتيكوستيرويد على المضاعفات مابعد قلع سن العقل السفلي) بإشراف الدكتور علي فلاح. حيث جرى البحث سريريا في عيادات الكلية وبتطبيق على اكثر من 12 حالة قلع لسن العقل السفلي في قياس مدى تأثير ادوية الكورتيكوستيرويد على قلة الالم والتورم ومقارنة النتائج مع الحالات التي لم تعطى كورتيكوستيرويد وتبيّن مدى تأثيرها من خلال الفحوص التي جرت والتي تؤيد هذه النتيجة الكثير من البحوث العالمية. احمد إبراهيم
