In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

طب أسنان بابل تناقش دراسة علاقة الانترلوكين 12والانترلوكين 23 مع المبيضات الفموية في مرضى السكري ناقش فرع الأحياء المجهرية في كلية طب الاسنان جامعة بابل رسالة ماجستير لطالبة الدراسات العليا هدى رياض يوسف رسالتها الموسومة (علاقة الانترلوكين 12 والانترلوكين 23 مع المبيضات الفموية في مرضى السكري في مدينة الحلة) (Association of IL12 and IL23 with oral candida albicans in diabetes milletus in Hilla city)، بإشراف أ.د. نبراس نصر الله و م.د. أزهر عبد الحافظ جابر، حيث تكونت لجنة المناقشة من أ.د. احلام كاظم نعيم رئيس اللجنة وعضوية كل من أ.د. رفل جليل جبار و أ.م. قاسم عبد الكريم محمد. هدفت الدراسة الى ايجاد العلاقة بين المبيضات الفموية وIL12 و IL23 في مرضى السكري في مدينة الحلة. اجريت الدراسة في مركز السكري في مدينة مرجان الطبية للفترة من ديسمبر 2022 الى فبراير 2023 تم خلالها جمع 100 عينه من المشاركين من بينهم 60 لمرضى السكري و 40 للأصحاء. كانت هنالك فروق معنويه في تركيز الانترلوكينات المناعية بين مرضى السكري والاصحاء. تمت زراعة العينات المرضية واستخدمت تقنية تفاعل تسلسل البلمرة ذات الوقت الحقيقي باستخدام بادئه مخصص لفطر المبيضات الفموية وقد تم تحديد تراكيز الانترلوكينات المناعية بتقنية ELISA. وقد ظهرت فروق معنوية في تركيز الانترلوكينات المناعية (IL12 وIL23) بالنسبة للمبيضات الفموية بين مرضى السكري والاصحاء. أحمد ابراهيم
