In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

ضمن متطلبات التخرج لطلبة المرحلة الخامسة للعام الدراسي 2022/2023 في كلية طب الاسنان - جامعة بابل وبتوجيه مباشر من عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور وسام وهاب صاحب تم مناقشة بحث التخرج لطلبة المرحلة الخامسة (زهراء راسم، فاطمة عبد الكريم، سارة حيدر، ريام عباس) بعنوان The prevalence of dental midline deviation in a group of dental students in college of dentistry. (انتشار انحراف خط الوسط السني في مجموعة من طلبة طب الاسنان جامعة بابل) وهو بحث مقدم لقسم تقويم الاسنان في كلية طب الاسنان(جامعة بابل) كجزء من متطلبات نيل درجة البكالوريوس في جراحة الفم والاسنان بأشراف مشترك من قبل فرع تقويم الاسنان والعلوم الأساسية في الكلية أ.م. قاسم احمد و م. نجلاء ناصر تناول البحث عن دراسة عن انحراف الخط السني وتأثيره عل جمال الوجه. اذ يلعب خط الوسط السني للوجه دور مهم لتجميل الوجه والأسنان. اظهرت النتائج بعد استخدام برنامج أوتوكاد 2010 على العينة ان معظم أفراد عينة الدراسة لديهم درجة انحراف معينة لخط الوسط المركزي او الوسطي من خط الوسط للوجه لأي من الجانبي، اضافة الى ذلك وجد انه يميل الخط المركزي إلى أن يكون داخل الحيز الأيسر من وجه الإناث أكثر من الذكور وأكثر في الفك السفلي من الفك العلوي على الرغم من وجود اختلاف بسيط بين الجنسين ضمن هذه العينة غير المتكافئة…ومع ذلك ، يجب مراعاة تناسق الوجه في تخطيط علاج تقويم الأسنان ما لم يكن ضمن النطاق المقبول لتصحيحها وإدراك المريض لها. بالرغم من هذه النتائج يتطلب مزيد من التحقيق على مجموعة أكبر لتقييم هادف للتناسب في العلاقة الأفقية للوجه والاسنان ومقدارها كذلك. احمد ابراهيم
