In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

أقامت وحدة التعليم المستمر في طب اسنان بابل ومن ضمن نشاطاتها المستمرة بتوجيه من عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور أمير حمدي العميدي ندوة علمية الكترونية وذلك يوم الخميس الموافق 4/8/2022بعنوان معلمات الاورام tumour marker حاضر فيها م.م. اسماء سامي وادارها أ.م.د عقيل حنظل طارش مسؤول وحدة التعليم المستمر. حيث تناولت الندوة ملخص لدورة حياة الخلية داخل جسم الانسان والمراحل الاربعة لانقسام الخلية وكيف ان اي خلل يرافق انقسام الخلية باي مرحلة سوف يودي الى فقدان السيطرة على انقسام الخلية وتكون تكتل للخلايا نتيجة الطفرات الجينية التي تصيب الجينات المسؤولة عن تنظيم الانقسام الخلوي مما يودي بالنتيجة الى ظهور السرطان وتعريف لمعلمات الاورام كونها المادة المصاحبة لتكون الورم او المواد المنتجة من الجسم نتيجة لوجود ورم معين والانواع المختلفة لمعلمات الاورام وطرق قياسها على مستوى الخلية والنسيج وكذلك طرق قياسها في سوائل الجسم المختلفة الصفات الواجب توفرها بمعلمات الاورام النموذجية واستخداماتها في التشخيص المبكر للأورام ومعرفة نوع النسيج في حالة المراحل المتقدمة للورم وكذلك في تقييم العلاجات الجراحية للأورام عن طريق قياسها قبل وبعد العملية الجراحية وكذلك في تقييم الطرق العلاجية الاخرى والمساعدة في اختيار العلاج المناسب لكل ورم من خلال تقييم الاستجابة للعلاج بقياس الانخفاض الحاصل بمستوى معلمات الاورام وسوف يتم اكمال الموضوع بعرض معلمات الاورام الخاصة بالفم وطرق قياسها المختلفة بالمحاضرات القادمة ان شاء الله. احمد ابراهيم
