In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

صرح مدير قسم شؤون الطلبة في جامعة بابل الدكتور عقيل العناوي عن اعلان وزارة التعليم العالي عن فتح باب النقل والاستضافة لطلبة الجامعات من تاريخ 2022/8/1 ولغاية 2022/9/29 اضافة الى بعض التعليمات والتوجيهات الوزارية أطلقت دائرة الدراسات والتخطيط والمتابعة في وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي, من خلال الاستمارة الالكترونية الخاصة بالنقل وبإمكان الطلبة تفعيل استمارة النقل عن طريق كلياتكم الاصلية لتقديم وتفعيل الاستمارة الالكترونية الموجودة على بوابة دائرة الدراسات والتخطيط والمتابعة والتي تتيح للطالب التقديم بما لا يزيد عن (خمس خيارات ) على ان يتم استقطاع مبلغ (5000) خمسه الاف دينار عن كل استمارة نقل او استضافة فيما اوضح عن ضوابط النقل والاستضافة وللدراستين الصباحية والمسائية. يحق للطلبة الناجحين من المراحل الأولى وبقيه المراحل عدا المراحل المنتهية وايضا هناك حالات الانتقال بالأسباب القاهرة ونقل الطلبة من كليات متطلبات أدنى إلى اعلى اي الطالب الناجح الاول على المرحلة وبتقدير جيد جدا ونقل أبناء الهيئة التدريسية ونقل الطلبة الاوائل في الصف الأول على المرحلة من الكليات الأهلية إلى الحكومية للدراسة الصباحية. وايضا نقل الطلبة من الكليات الأهلية إلى الكليات الحكومية المسائية ويكون الطالب حاصل على تقدير جيد جدا ومن الناجحين من الصف الأول إلى الصف الثاني وغير راسب في السنه الدراسية السابقة وايضا نقل الطلبة إلى كليات ومعاهد إقليم كردستان هذا من جانب. ومن جانب آخر للجامعات النظر في حالات والطلبات التي ترد بشأن استضافة الطلبة والمراحل الدراسية كافه بغض النظر عن حالات الاستضافة السابقة وفق الشروط والضوابط المعلنة في كليات جامعتنا. ا.د. نعمان الخزرجي
