In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

من إنجازات ومهام الشعبة القانونية في كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل التي يديرها السيد المشاور القانوني قاسم جواد حمود هي: 1- استقبال الطلبة الجدد للعام الدراسي وعمل كفالات وتعهدات قانونية. 2- المشاركة في توزيع نتائج الطلبة لكافة المراحل. 3- إكمال كافة اللجان التحقيقية الخاصة بمنتسبي الكلية. 4- إكمال براءة الذمة لجميع الطلبة خصوصاً التعليم الحكومي الخاص الصباحي. 5- متابعة إكمال تسديد مبالغ اقساط الطلبة لقناة التعليم الحكومي الخاص. 6- متابعة الأمور القانونية الخاصة بالكلية مع رئاسة جامعة بابل / قسم الشؤون القانونية. 7- متابعة الدعاوى المكلفين بها من قبل رئاسة جامعة بابل لدى المحاكم المختصة. 8- المشاركة في اللجان الخاصة بالكلية. 9- المشاركة في الدورات التدريبية المشكلة في رئاسة الجامعة والخاصة بالأمور القانونية. احمد ابراهيم
