In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

استقبلت كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل الفريق الوزاري المسؤول عن الأمن البايولوجي والسلامة البايولوجية في المختبرات لهذا يوم الثلاثاء المصادف 2022/6/14 وكان في استقبال الفريق الوزاري الاستاذ الدكتور امير حمدي حكيم العميدي عميد كلية طب الأسنان وعدد من الأساتذة التدريسيين والاستاذ الدكتور بهاء حمدي حكيم مسؤول شعبة الجودة والأستاذ المساعد الدكتور أحمد شاكر حسين رئيس لجنة السلامة والامن CBRN في كلية طب الأسنان وتم الاطلاع من خلال الزيارة على المخزن الكيمياوي للمجموعة الطبية والمتواجد في كلية طب الأسنان حيث تم الاطلاع على آلية خزن المواد الكيمياوية والإجراءات المتخذة للسلامة من حيث خزن هذه المواد باعتبار ان المخزن الكيمياوي هو مشترك لكليات المجموعة الطبية وايضا تم تهيئة كافة المختبرات في الكلية من حيث الاستعداد لهذه الزيارة واتخاذ كافة إجراءات السلامة المطلوبة حيث أن السلامة البايولوجية في المختبرات تصف مبادئ الاحتواء والتقنيات والممارسات التي يتم تنفيذها لمنع التعرض الغير مقصود لمسببات الأمراض والسموم او اطلاقها عن طريق الخطأ. احمد ابراهيم
