In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

اقامت كلية طب الاسنان في جامعة بابل وبإشراف من عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور امير حمدي العميدي وضمن فعاليات وحدة تمكين المرأة ندوة توعوية حول (الكشف المبكر لسرطان الثدي) بالتعاون مع وحدة التعليم المستمر وشعبة الانشطة الطلابية يوم الاربعاء الموافق 2022/3/16 حاضر فيها الاستاذ المساعد الدكتورة سهاد كاظم علي معاون العميد في كلية طب حمورابي والسيدة زينة جاسم محمد مسؤولة الشؤون العلمية في كلية طب الاسنان. حضر الندوة السيد عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور أمير حمدي العميدي والمعاون العلمي المدرس الدكتورة جميلة علي عبد الصاحب والمعاون الاداري الاستاذ المساعد الدكتورة ميسلون زهير وعضو ارتباط وحدة تمكين المرأة الاستاذ المساعد الدكتورة زينب هادي كامل رئيس فرع العلوم الاساسية وعدد من التدريسيات والتدريسيين والموظفات والطالبات وتناولت الندوة تعريفا عن مرض سرطان الثدي اسبابه وطرق العلاج والوقاية والحقائق والخرافات فيما يخص المرض ونسبة حدوثه بين باقي الامراض السرطانية. ختمت الندوة بتقديم الشهادات التقديرية للسيدتين المحاضرتين لجهودهما المبذولة في الندوة وتم منح شهادات تقديرية لعدد من الموظفات والطالبات المتميزات في الكلية. احمد ابراهيم
