In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

اقامت وحدة الصحة والسلامة المهنية المتمثلة بالسيد احمد خضر بهجت في كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل وبرعاية عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتور امير حمدي العميدي ندوة توعوية حول متحور فايروس كورونا اليوم الخميس الموافق 2021/12/9 بعنوان (المتحور الجديد لفايروس كورونا ومدى خطورته) حاضر فيها الدكتور ماهر جواد كاظم من قسم الصحة العامة في دائرة صحة بابل وأستاذ مساعد دكتور احمد محمد عباس رئيس فرع الاحياء المجهرية في الكلية على قاعة المؤتمرات في الكلية. حضر الندوة عميد كلية طب الأسنان الاستاذ الدكتور امير حمدي العميدي والمعاون العلمي مدرس دكتور جميله علي عبد الصاحب والمعاون الاداري استاذ مساعد دكتور ميسلون زهير حسين ومدير الإدارة السيد مخلف نجم عبيد الخفاجي وعدد من أساتذة وموظفي وطلبة الكلية. تناولت الندوة بداية انتشار فايروس كورونا ومراحل تطوره وصولاً إلى المتحور الجديد اوموكرون وكيفية التعامل مع هذا المتحور من حيث الوقاية وطرق العلاج. احمد ابراهيم
