In 1988, the College of Engineering became the first engineering college in the densely populated Middle Euphrates region. The departments of civil, and mechanical engineering were the first to be established, followed by the departments of electrical, chemical, environmental, architecture, and biomedical engineering.

شارك الاستاذ الدكتور بهاء حمدي حكيم العميدي من كلية طب الأسنان جامعة بابل في الورشة العلمية المقامة من قبل كلية المنصور الجامعة بالتنسيق مع جمعية الراسخ التقني العلمية التابعة لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي وبإشراف دائرة البحث والتطوير ورشة العمل بعنوان (تقنيات اداره النفايات الطبية والمخلفات الصناعية في العراق 2021) حيث تناول المحاضرين الاساليب المعتمدة وفق المعاير العالمية في البلدان المتطورة للتخلص من هذه النفايات الطبية وتجنب التلوث البيئي لهذه النفايات الطبية التي تنتج من انشطه المؤسسات الصحية كالمستشفيات والمراكز الصحية بتصنيفها كنفايات صلبة واخرى سائلة وبالتالي التعامل مع كل نوع بأسلوب علمي حديث صديق للبيئة وكذلك المخلفات الصناعية والتي تنتج من المعامل ايضا اتباع اساليب الطمر الصحي وتقنيات تدوير النفايات نصب وحدات المعالجة في المعامل الصناعية وقد حضر الورشة العديد من الأكاديميين والمهتمين بالبيئة وقد اقيمت الورشة عبر تطبيق FCC الالكتروني. أحمد ابراهيم - شعبة إعلام الكلية
